Tetrapolis, négy városból álló szövetségek neve; ilyen volt pl. Atticában Oenoë, Probalinthus, Tricorythus és Marathon. Strab. 8, 374. 383. 10, 446. Ilyen volt Dorisban Erineus, Boeum, Pindus és Cytinium (Strab. 9, 417); Lycia, Cabalia tartományában Cibyra, Oenoanda, Bubon és Balbura, Syriában is volt ily négytagú szövetség: Antiochia, Apamea, Laodicea és Seleucia.
