Erythraei származású szónok, Isocrates tanítványa, kit Cicero többször említ, s kiről csak annyit tudunk, hogy Isocrates két más tanítványával, Theopompusszal és Theodectesszel együtt Maussolus cariai király elhunytakor szónoki vetélkedésben vett részt, melyben Theopompus legyőzte őt.
