Timon Sámuel
Timon Sámuel (Turna, 1675. júl. 20. – Kassa, 1736. ápr. 7.): történetíró, polihisztor. 1693-ban belépett a jezsuita rendbe, s hosszú időn át a rend iskoláiban tanított. Később több helyütt rendházfőnök. Latin nyelvű történelmi, földrajzi, nyelvtani és teológiai munkákat írt. – F. m. Synopsis novae chronologicae Regnorum Hungariae (Nagyszombat, 1714 – 15); Imago antiguae Hungariae (Kassa, 1733); Imago novae Hungariae (Kassa, 1734).
