Matei Aurél (Debrecen, 1908. jan. 1. – Bp., 1959. máj. 1.): szobrász. Aba Novák Vilmosnál és Pátzay Pálnál, majd 1937-ben Párizsban tanult. Ismertebb művei: a bp.-i Mezőgazdasági Technikumban Ady portréja, a Soroksári úton Spartacusa, a Villányi úton Játszó gyermekek c. kompozíciója.
