Friedelius János, Friedel, Fridel (Sopron, 1638 – Sopron, 1719): tanár, természettudós, az első magyar antropológiai jellegű mű írója. Hazai tanulmányok után a wittenbergi egy.-en tanult, majd ennek elvégzése után hazatért. Sopronban az ev. isk. conrectora, utóbb 1682-től 1712-ig rectora volt. – F. m.
