Nares
Nares (ejtsd: nersz) György sir, angol utazó, szül. 1831., több sarkvidéki utazásban vett részt és maga is vezetett két expediciót 1875-76. Az É-i sark felé, 1878. a Csendes-oceán D-i részébe. Művei: Reports on ocean soundings and temperature (1874-76); The official report of the Arctic Expedition (1876); Narrative of a voyage to the Polar Sea during 1875-76 (1878).
