Hakluyt (ejtsd: heklút) Rikárd, angol földrajzi iró, szül. Eytonban 1553., megh. 1616. Főműve The principal navigations, voyages and discoveries of the English nation (London 1598-1600, 3. köt.; u. o. 1809. 5 köt.), ennek függeléke: A selection of voyages and histories of interesting discoveries (u. o. 1812.). Az ő nevéről nevezték el a H. Societyt, melyet 1846. alapítottak Londonban; ez a társaság már 70 kötet régibb utleirást adott ki.
