Garnett Rikádr, angol iró, szül. Lichfieldben 1835 febr. 27. Mint a British Museum hivatalnoka rendezte az 1857 óta a muzeumhoz került munkákat, 1875. a nyomtatványok kusztosza, 1890. könyvtárnok (keeper of printed books) lett. Munkái: Philological essays (atyja munkáinak kiadása London 1859); anonyme: Primula, a book of lyrics (költemények, 1858); Io in Egypt (1859); különösen a Poems from the German (1862) révén lett ismeretes; további munkái: Idylls and epigrams chiefly prun the Greek anthology (1869); Iphigenia in Delphi (1890) s egy kötet elbeszélés: The twilight of the Gods (1889) stb. Irt kritika-biográfiai cikkeket a tudományos folyóiratokba, az Encyclopaedia Brittanica-ba s a Dictionary of national biography-ba stb.
