Csem-nemzetség Magyarországban IV. Béla idejében virágzott. Két tagja. Seifried comes és Roland comes az osztrák Babenbergek ellen viselt háboruban esett el. A nemzetség 1244 febr. 10. kapta Vas vármegyében az óvári várat.
