Mac Culloch v. MC. János Ramsay, angol közgazdasági iró, szül. Whithorn szigetén 1789 márc. 1., megh. Londonban 1864 nov. 11. Edinburgban tanult, 1828. a londoni egyetemen kapott tanszéket, majd állami közigazgatási szolgálatba lépett s a Stationery Office ellenőre lett. Főművei: a több kiadást ért Dictionary of commerce and commercial navigation (London 1882) és a Principles of political economy (u. o. 1885). Nevezetesebb munkái ezeken kivül: Diction. geogr. statist. and histor. (u. o. 1866) és On metallic and papermoney and banks (u. o. 1858).
