Büchmann
Büchmann György, német filologus, született Berlinben 1822 jan. 4., megh. u. o. 1884 febr. 22. Miután elvégezte teologiai és filozofiai tanulmányait, a brandenburgi reáliskolában tanítóskodott, innen a berlini Friedrich-Werder-féle ipariskolához hivták meg tanárnak, ahol 1877-ig működött. Nagyobb hirt szerzett neki Geflügelte Worte cimü műve (1. kiad. Berlin 1864, 14. kiad 1884).
